In 2020, DDD declared that parents/guardians had the option to serve as compensated direct care providers for their children under the age of 18.

AHCCCS has also communicated that this opportunity has been prolonged until March 2024. Potterville Care assists parents in becoming paid providers for their children, enabling them to offer Habilitation Care Services and Attendant Care Services.

Suppose Habilitation Care Services or Attendant Care Services are not included in the child’s service plan. In that case, your DDD Support Coordinator must assess your child to determine eligibility before adding these services to your child’s planning document.
